Lilo may be tiny, but her personality is a work in progress. At just 4 lbs, this little black-coated beauty has been through more than most pups ever should. Her mama was thrown from a moving car while pregnant (yes, that really happened), and now Lilo and her brother are learning to trust the world one baby step at a time.

Right now, Lilo is shy and would prefer you admire her from a distance until she decides you’re safe. She’s not a “life of the party” kind of pup yet more like the introvert in the corner waiting to see if you brought snacks. With patience, routine, and gentle socialization, she’ll blossom into the sweet companion she’s meant to be.

LILO needs a calm home, a securely fenced yard, and someone willing to put in the time to help her feel safe. She’s not ready for chaos or constant visitors she needs a soft place to land and a family who understands that love takes time.

If you’re within an hour of Gulfport, MS, and ready to help this little survivor believe in happily ever afters, apply today at tireddogrescue.org.

More about Lilo

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Requires a yard

We at Tired Dog Rescue strive to find homes for dogs in need, build quality relationships with responsible owners, and preserve current dog-family homes by seeking solutions to financial, behavioral, and situational dog problems. We believe the lives of homeless, abandoned and abused dogs are just as precious as dogs that currently have a loving home. We believe that all dogs deserve a loving home despite their age, medical condition and/or disabilities. We provide whatever medical care is needed regardless of cost. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm negative and current on vaccinations before being placed.
